Citizen (free)
Our free service allows you to search for and view an unlimited number of bills, legislators and committees in the current session. Note: staff information for legislators and committees is not included. All bill pages follow a simple and easy to understand format, which clearly shows the bill progress. They also include plain English AI-generated summaries.
We have three main paid tiers:
Pro Subscription
This is suitable for you if you want to track legislation in one state or a small number of states (including Congress and the Washington DC city council). The price is per state, and so each state you add will cost an additional amount. When you reach 6 states the subscription is the same as our Unlimited subscription, and so for 6 or more states you will just pay the Unlimited price.
The only limitation on the Pro subscription is the number of states; everything else is unlimited:
- You can have unlimited users in your account, and they don't even have to be working for your organisation. For example, associations can provide BillTrack50 to their members as a membership perk.
- You can make unlimited searches and have unlimited bill sheets, and can search for bills going all the way back to 2011.
- You can receive daily alerts on changes to your bills, including information about upcoming hearings.
- You can share as many maps, bill lists and stakeholder pages on your website as you want to.
- You have full access to legislator and committee information, including staff information (which is not available to free users).
- You can use our API to integrate our data into your own applications or website.

And you get unlimited training and support with setting up your searches and making sure BillTrack50 delivers for you.
Unlimited Subscription
This is suitable for you if you want to track legislation across the whole of the US (including Congress and the Washington DC city council), or more than five individual states. Apart from that, it works the same as the Pro subscription - everything else is unlimited.
Enterprise Subscription
This is suitable for you if you work for a large organisation with chapters across the whole of the country and you anticipate having a large number of users. It is the same as the Unlimited subscription but also includes user management tools allowing you to group users and bill sheets so you can more easily organize collaboration between many users. Regulation Tracking
This add on will allow you to find and track regulations across most of the country, in addition to tracking legislation. The regulation tracking tools are similar to our legislation tracking, so you can set up regulation sheets and create regulation sharing widgets. Legislator Scorecards
This add on will allow you to create attractive, interactive scorecards for legislators in your state to show whether they are working for your interests or not. Legislator scores are presented in several interactive displays: an interactive bar chart, a grid of detailed results, a column chart looking at party, and heat maps of districts. There is even the option of using a third party tool to create a bespoke visual scorecard. See this page for more information.
Mobile Tools
We have a free mobile app, which anyone can use to find legislation and legislators. The app includes in app purchases which will allow you to track legislation and share with others. You can also buy a Mobile Stakeholder Pages add on which will allow you to invite people to see bill information from your account, including custom information you have added, using our free app (at no cost to the people you invite).
Afternoon Alerts
If you're tracking legislation in a particularly fast moving state, you may want to get an additional alert about changes to your bills in the afternoon in addition to the regular morning alert. See this post for more information.
