If you read this blog, and I hope you do, you’re familiar with the basic landscape of how many bills each state introduces.  Here’s a map of how much legislation was introduced in each state in 2013 (when all the states were in session):

However, this map includes both bills and resolutions. Some states use resolutions much more extensively than others. So let’s look at two new maps, one of just bills introduced and one of just resolutions introduced (still for 2013):

First, Bills (note you can always get the current count from the link in the first paragraph on our home page:

And now, Resolutions:

As a rule resolutions are passed at a much greater rate then bills, even in the states that pass a lot of bills. Here’s a bar chart comparing bills passed percentage and resolution passed percentage.
