Have we got a treat for you! Eye candy for all! We are thrilled to announce BillMap50, a great new tool where you can create a heat map of how many bills each state has on any given topic. You can then make graphics to share on social media or embed in web pages or blog posts. Here’s an example about immigration.

Count of Bills about Immigration

Creating a map like the above couldn’t be easier. Head on over to https://www.billtrack50.com/map/query and enter words that will appear in bills you’re interested in. Notice next the search box you can choose “all of” or “any of”, depending on if you want the bills to have all of the words you’ve entered, or if any of the words will do. If you have words that are actually a phrase, use quotes, like “minimum wage”. For more tips on writing queries and finding the bills you are looking for see this post.

When you are ready, click “Map It” to see the results. You can tweak your words and check out as many maps as you like. If you want to share a particular map, click “Generate URL” to get a link and an embed code for you to use to share your map.

Like this one, just for fun.
