If you are using a bill sheet to drive a widget or a especially a stakeholder page on your website, you may want to freeze that bill sheet at the end of the year, so that you can save those bills and your comments for posterity. CRBC has a good example of a stakeholder for the current year, with previous years linked below the active sheet.

To archive your sheet, simply go to the manage tab, and turn the archive setting on:

Archiving your sheet keeps the bills from changing. New bills will not be added, even if they match your query. Bills will also not be removed when the session changes, and the bills are no longer in the current session. We also lock down the query so you can’t accidentally change the search terms. Bills will, however, still be updated with the current actions, sponsors, etc. You may also still hide bills with the x button.

So if you have a specific group of bills you’d like to share for years to come, we hope you’ll find the archive button a very convenient way to do so.
