We are excited to announce two new features based on customer demand.
Some states do a nice job naming their bills, some not so much. Sometimes your bill will have a title that simply isn’t descriptive, or is way to long or way to short, or is flat out confusing. So we’ve added a way for you to override the state name with your own. When you edit a bill on your scorecard, you will now notice the bill number and bill name at the top of the edit screen, and a place to override the official bill title. You can copy and paste the state’s title and make small edits, or you can simply start from scratch and give the bill a more descriptive and/or intelligible name. If you don’t enter anything in this box, your scorecard will continue to use the official state title.
We have also added a new legislator summary page, to better show your readers your opinion about each individual legislator. now when you click on a legislator name anywhere on your scorecard, you get taken to the new scorecard legislator summary that shows their contact info, their total score, their total score by category (if you’ve set up categories), and a complete run down of how they’ve voted on every bill you rated. Here is an example from the RI Freedom Index. This new legislator summary page is designed to better show what your readers are expecting to see – namely your opinion of this legislator. Notice the new legislator page opens as a separate tab, so your readers still have your main scorecard open in their browser.
