Wouldn’t it be great to have a snazzy graphic for each and every vote a state legislature takes, so you can quickly assess what’s just gone down? Well dream no more! We have added a new vote summary graphic to our vote detail window. Here’s how it works.

When you look a bill on BillTrack50 you can see the bill summary and text, of course, but also the action history, vote history, and a list of links to documents associated with the bill. On the vote history tab you’ll see a list of all the votes that have taken place, and how they turned out. To see the detail of the vote, click on the detail link.

This gives you a full breakdown of how each legislator voted in a sortable grid, so you can click on the column label to sort by legislator name, or party or vote. We’ve added an additional graphic to the top to give you an instant summary of what happened with the vote.

We hope you find this new feature useful!
