If you have several bill sheets covering related topics, you might find the same bills popping up on multiple sheets. You may well want your bill sheets to overlap; if you manage several clients with related areas of interest, for example, or if you have a “hot list” of bills specifically to share on your website. But there are also times when you don’t want certain overlap. Although you could always go hide an unwanted bill from each bill sheet one by one, if you have a lot of sheets, that can be a tedious prospect. So in response to customer feedback we have added some powerful new features to the plus button.
You’ll notice in the first column of your bill sheet (or quick search, or the track this bill button on a bill detail page) that plus is out and manage is in.
This new manage button does everything the old plus button does, and more. Here is the new mange dialog:
We’ve removed the check boxes and given you some new buttons instead. You’ll see the familiar plus button to add the bill in question to any of your other bills sheets. However, if a bill is already on other bill sheets, you are now have an “x” option available. Clicking the x will hide the bill from any of your other bill sheets you choose, and the message will change on the dialog to let you know that the bill has been hidden.
This new hidden message also means using the red “Track This Bill” button from a bill detail page is a great way to find out that a bill isn’t showing up on a particular bill sheet because it is hidden. Note you can’t unhide bills from the new manage tool – if you change your mind you’ll need to go to the individual bill sheet and unhide the bills from the link on the query tab.
