We’ve added several new features to the BillTrack50 Legislator Scorecard based on customer requests. For a full walk-through of how to create a scorecard from scratch, see this new tutorial video:

If you are already familiar with scorecards then here’s a summary of the changes.

1) Bill sheets now let you filter out resolutions and memorials. Not a scorecard change, but potentially helpful when creating the list of bills you want to share.

2) The scorecard grid on the legislation tab now shows the bill progress as well as the count of votes, so you can see right away if a bill doesn’t have any votes and won’t immediately impact your scores.

3) We’ve added the ability to comment on individual votes.

These comments will override the bill comment when looking at an individual legislator score

Notice the bill comment on HB1410 is overridden on the Amendment vote that we scored separately.

4) The actual vote of Y, N, or O is now color coded to make it easier to pick out which votes were good or bad (see picture above)

5) A collection of small improvements like having the bills sort in proper bill order and adding in some of the features from our original scorecard that were missing, like the more button on individual legislator cards.

We hope you find these improvements useful. Please keep the good ideas and helpful suggestions coming!
